Jayce Riden (2027, Snoqualmie, WA) got the start for Team White and threw three quick shutout innings. He worked fast with an uptempo delivery and pounded the strike zone at a high rate with the fastball that worked up to 78 and sat in the mid 70s where opposing hitters were consistently late on it. Flashed a developing curveball and changeup throughout his outing. Hitters never got in any rhythm.
Noah Bailey (2027, Arlington, WA) relieved Jayce and went two shutout innings. Showed advanced stuff for a ’27 grad. He ran his fastball up to 80 that flashed some good life/ride and mixed in a sharp downer curveball that paired well off of it that induced its own chase and whiffs.
Griffen Gregory (2028, Seattle, WA) showed quality stuff from the left side. Mixed speeds with his fastball/curveball mix. Gave up just two runs in his three innings of work. Showed early signs of being an effective pitc ability left-hander down the line.
Arnulfo (Bud) Castaneda (2027, Dupont, WA) had a hard single up the middle for Team White to get things started early. Stole second a couple pitches later than scored on a RBI single. Looks to be a solid top of the order offensive profile.
Daniel Dicante (2028, Sparks, NV) had an RBI single to left-center gap in the first. In his second AB he had a bloop double into right and later scored. Dicante showed loose hands that throw the barrel on a slightly uphill bat path.
Leomar Gonzalez (2027, Kennewick, WA) scored Team White’s third run off a hard liner off the pitcher that he then beat out for an infield single. Gonzalez also had a standout BP where he showed an accurate barrel that works on a direct path to the baseball.
Keagan Soliza (2027, Puyallup, WA) was able to find enough barrel on an outside fastball to fly one into right for a sac-fly.
Kaden Almario (2027, Puyallup, WA) made a tough diving play down the first baseline to save extra bases. Was easily the defensive play of the game.
