If we were to compare the Top-25 poll to the stock market, you would have to say it went through one of the biggest market corrections in years. With all the carnage we almost had to start from scratch, as 6 of the top-10 teams in the nation not only lost their series’ but were swept in league play. Two other ranked clubs were swept and one other lost their series in profound fashion, clearing the way for 5 new entries into this week’s poll.

So, how did it all turn out? Well, let’s starting with the movement within the top-10. LSU (32-7) continues to take care of business as they swept the reeling Ole Miss Rebels on the road and retain their spot at No. 1 in the nation. No. 2 South Carolina (34-6) made a huge statement by sweeping now No. 4 Florida (34-10) at home and showed the nation they are legitimate national title contenders. No. 3 Wake Forest (34-6) dropped the Friday night game at Pitt but went on to win the series by outscoring the Panthers 40-5 over the next two games. Coastal Carolina (26-12) had another convincing week and climb to No. 5 as they won a huge home series against previously ranked Southern Miss. Riding a 14-game win streak, Dallas Baptist (31-9) is one of the hottest teams in the country and are No. 6 this week. Arkansas (30-10) dropped their second SEC series of the year and fall to No. 7, while Tennessee (26-14) annihilated now No. 11 Vanderbilt (29-11) for the second straight season and ascend to No. 8 this week. Stanford (25-12) is still hanging around at No. 9 and the Campbell Camels (31-8) continue to dominate the Big South and reach No. 10 for the first time in program history.

The new entries this week are highlighted by the Duke Blue Devils (27-12) and their scary offense as they debut at No. 18 in the 10th week of the season. No. 21 Indiana State (25-12) shutout Vanderbilt in the midweek and won both games against Southern Illinois as the series finishes up today. West Virginia (29-11) jumps in at No. 23 as they have a share of the lead in the Big-12 after sweeping TCU. UTSA (30-10) is back in the poll for a second time at No. 24 after winning the series at FIU and Arizona State (27-12) is alone at the top of the PAC-12 standings after they beat Oregon State 2 of 3 this past weekend.

The importance and intensity of each game and every series only get more magnified from here, so be sure to follow us as we bring you as much action as possible.
