John Rodriguez is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends North Broward Prep. Tall, square shouldered frame with a lot of strength to project on in the coming years. Works from a full windup, starts square with the plate and has a small step into a belt high leg lift. Medium arm circle to a three-quarters slot. The fastball has some life out of the hand in the mid-80s, getting up to 85 mph (2236 RPM) countless times in the outing. The curveball is a true weapon and is spun in any count with consistent 11-5 shape and late depth. He throws it hard and has been landing it throughout the outing, up to 72 mph (2140 RPM). Later on in the outing, he began to flash a changeup in the low-80s and kills the spin effectively, up to 81 mph (1442 RPM). The velocity will continue to tick up as he continues to fill out the frame as he showed good command and feel to pitch.
