Carter Gschwind is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Palm Beach Gardens, FL who attends The King's Academy. Big and strong build, pretty mature physically. Has simple sound mechanics with a short leg raise and good direction to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot, works downhill well. Fastball sat in the upper 80's, mostly straight with good downhill angle, worked down in the zone consistently with his fastball, gets to his velocity pretty easily. Curveball has good power and some tight spin, hard biting action when he gets out front with it, will overthrow his curveball at times and needs to trust his release more on this pitch. Nice power arm who throws strikes and competes. Outstanding student. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
