Riley Pint is a 2016 RHP with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Lenexa, KS who attends St Thomas Aquinas HS. Long and lean athletic build, broad shoulders and long levers, prototype pitching prospect's build, very projectable physically. Balanced on line delivery, arm is fast and smooth with big extension out front, lands on a stiff front leg but has lower half drive to the plate until then, has some energy at release, high 3/4's arm slot with very good downhill angle when he's working down in the zone. Mid-90's fastball, gets very good running and sinking action down in the zone, tended to miss up frequently this outing, velocity comes easily and there is more there. Power curveball in the low 80's, very good arm speed, flashes big hammer 11/5 depth at times. Flashed a developing change up. Elite level arm with potential #1 starter stuff, still young in his ability to repeat his mechanics and work his pitches. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
