Joe DeMers is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Martinez, CA who attends College Park HS. Big strong power pitcher's build, especially strong in the lower half. High energy delivery he repeats well, compact arm action that provides some deception, 3/4's arm slot. Low to mid-90's fastball, topped out at 95 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Outstanding slider with power and big depth at times, late sharp biting action, potential plus pitch. Nice change up with good fading action. Mid-70's curveball gets good 11/5 depth at times, very good pitch for a 4th offering. Body and delivery says reliever future but repeats his delivery very well, pounds the strike zone and has four present pitches with two plus offerings. Impressive performance and stuff. Good student, verbal commitment to Washington. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
