Trey Haley is a 2008 RHP with a 6'4'', 185 lb. frame from San Augustine, TX who attends San Augustine HS. He has a young angular build that is very loose and projectable. Haley threw from a low effort delivery with a 2 piece arm takaway and an extremely quick and loose arm stroke. The ball flew out of Haley's hand at release and he was up to 95 mph on his fastball and had surprisingly good life on his fastball at times for someone who threw that hard. Haley showed an idea with spotting his fastball to each side of the plate. His curveball didn't have the velocity you would expect from someone with his arm speed and FB velocity, but the spin on his low 70's curveball has hard and very sharp break at times. Haley didn't throw a change up. His looseness, physical immaturity and present fastball velocity could mean something special in the future if he stays healthy and keeps getting stronger.
