Chase Gandert is a 2027 1B/RHP, 3B with a 5-8 146 lb. frame from Mason, OH who attends Mason. Medium size frame with some strength. Ran an 8.64 60-yard dash. A primary corner infielder with footwork directly to the baseball, fields it out front, funnels to the waist, does a nice job of gathering feet and making balanced throws across the diamond with some accuracy. Hit from an even base with toe tap timing at the plate. Quick hands, stays directional, incorporates backside rotation into swing, consistent in sync swings with feel for the barrel and present pull side pop. Didn't miss the barrel in BP and proved it in games with a double to the wall and a solid opposite field line drive single. Fastball and slider on the mound out of a three-quarter arm slot and tall and fall mechanics on the mound. Hides the baseball well helping his fastball play up, slider had some slight horizontal movement to it. Feel for getting both pitches consistently in the zone for strikes. Named to Ohio Valley Prospect Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
