Chase Cecil is a 2023 2B/RHP, 3B, MIF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Arvada, CO who attends Ralston Valley Senior. Recorded a 7.18 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame with a long and slender build, has plenty of room fill out in the future, body projects well. Primary second baseman with a passive approach, is an athletic and fluid mover overall, ranges to both sides well. Has present feel for the glove and the hands and feet work well together. Developing arm strength at present, has the athleticism and glove/footwork to really improve moving forward. Secondary right-handed pitcher with tall and fall mechanics, generates limited lower half drive. Very low effort operation overall, has a short arm action with some plunge in the back and tends to show the ball behind his back. Developing mechanics and feel on the mound at present. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance and a high hand and back elbow set, utilizes a lift and replace trigger. Very simple and quiet operation overall, has limited weight shift/drive within the swing, would benefit from using the lower half more actively to generate power. Has some loft to the path, ball tended to get in on his hands in this look, will improve as he gets more comfortable with his timing and makes contact out front. Has the athleticism and frame to improve. Excellent student.
