2022 WWBA Summer Workout Showcase (July 19)
Cj Livengood is a 2028 1B/RHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Cullman, AL who attends . Young, medium frame with some present strength and additional room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.83 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the bball out front, young footwork around the bag and will continue to refine, hooked arm action through the back with a compact release on throws, shows some accuracy to intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a short step forward moving into contact with lower half. Hands start tight and remain inside the ball throughout swing, contact oriented approach. Works the other way at point of contact, sees the ball in, shorter swing overall and can incorporate additional extension out front in swing.
