Brooks Champney is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Dunwoody, GA who attends Mount Vernon Presbyterian. Medium frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.53 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, hands start high, swivels back in hips, heavy lander onto front side through stride, creates slash to path, steep in/steep out. Worked out in the outfield, waits back, stiffness to actions working through the ball, clean release, clocked up to 71 mph on throws. Very good student.
