Ahsaan Henson is a 2023 OF/RHP, 2B with a 5-11 154 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Lindblom Math & Science Acad. Ran a 7.74 second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder fields the ball out front with a good line to the bases and a short release as he pushes the ball accurately at 66 mph to the bases. Also taking ground balls in the infield showcasing versatility as he is developing strength. The right-handed hitter steps to the plate with an open and wide base, drops the back leg as he swings, and coils the front as he throws his hands at the ball while working the ball middle of the field with developing barrel control. Secondary right-handed pitcher moves from a full windup and short sidestep into a chest high leg lift landing closed off. With a full arm action, Henson keeps the ball down in the zone with his fastball while also developing strength. Tremendous student.
