Cruz Hale is a 2026 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Lake Travis. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.99 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, works around the ball well, smooth actions on the transfer away from base, longer arm action, developing arm strength and will continue to refine with added physical strength. Similar full arm action on throws from the outfield, plays under control on the approach, worked mostly online with throws to intended base, can implement additional lower half into release. Also pitched, knee to chest leg lift at start, smooth delivery and works to a three-quarters release with a full arm stroke through the back. Fastball topped out at 66 mph, worked around the zone and pitched to contact, lands on line towards the plate. Mixed curveballs with comfort early in the count, 1-7 shape up to 60 mph, maintains on release. Left-handed hitter, begins with a square, balanced stance in the box, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Contact oriented approach, works on a linear path through the zone, best contact to pull side, bat speed projects with added strength, shows some present bat-to-ball ability.
