2023 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Chase Tarnoff is a 2024 C/3B/OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Montville, NJ who attends Seton Hall Prep. Tarnoff works from a medium frame with strength proportioned throughout. Exclusively from his primary spot behind the dish, he showcased calculated mechanics with some whip to the arm action that produced throws around the bag up to 71 mph. He has further room to gain ground in the footwork which will decrease pop time currently standing at 2.05. Offensively, the righty started from an even base with a high compact hand set and toe-tap trigger with solid weight shift into contact. He repeated the stroke well with intent to generate line drive contact gap to gap. Tarnoff flashed quickness to the hands and had evident feel for the barrel, posting an 81 mph exit velo. Ran a 5.23 forty yard dash. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
