2021 14U Gulf Coast Showcase
Cadyn Williamson is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Sumrall, MS who attends Sumrall. Long and lean athletic build with plenty of physical projection ahead of him. Two-way prospect. Primary left-handed pitcher, has a smooth and athletic delivery with nice lower half use, clean arm action with an extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, worked fastball to both corners and was comfortable throwing inside to right handed hitters, fastball generated lots of swing and miss with good late sink and run. Also threw a big sweeping breaking ball. Lots of projection on the mound with nice present skills. 7.69 runner in the sixty. Has very athletic actions in the outfield, charges the ball hard with advanced footwork through his throws, also plays first base with outstanding athleticism and hands for that position. Switch-hitter with tools from both sides of the plate, left handed swing is smooth with some present bat speed, rotates hard from the right side with some line drive jump as well. Graded out better as a position player at this event but that could change as he gets stronger and his arm strength grows. Good student. Named to the 14U Gulf Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
