Rhett Murphy is a 2025 RHP/C, 3B, MIF, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Germantown. He ran a 7.88 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a larger build. On the mound he showed the ability to fill up the zone with a shorter arm action working the fastball at 71-74 mph letting it play at eh top of the zone to create swings and misses, he stays tall on the back side for the most part with a slight hunch at the top of his leg lift before working downtime mound. He flashed a curveball and changeup as his second Ary offering with the curveball showing young projectable traits and a changeup that will continue to develop with maturity. Behind the plate he showed young receiving skills with firm hands, he does a nice job gaining ground into his throws with a short arm action throwing from a taller positions with okay carry as he recorded a 2.12 second pop time. On the infield he presents the glove late with developing footwork as he travel toward the target with shuffle as he creates momentum with average arm strength across the diamond. In the outfield he showed a longer gather with a big shuffle into the throw showing a shorter arm action with an uphill release producing oaky carry to the bases. Right-handed hitter, start open and strides with little weight shift into contact as he gets back to even, he showed heavy hands at the point of contact with an young bat path that will become more consistent with maturity and strength.
