LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2021 13U/14U Sunshine Midwest Showcase
Augie Ferrell is a 2026 RHP/IF, OF with a 5-7 128 lb. frame from Hampton, IL. Slender young athletic build. Very young player, will be 12 years old throughout the summer. Multi-part delivery on the mound with lots of moving parts that he holds together well with his athleticism, arm is fast and loose coming through from a high 3/4's arm slot, torques his hips hard to generate arm speed and power to the plate. Fastball worked in the low 70's and topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight, threw lots of fastball strikes to right handed hitters but struggled repeating his focus and mechanics to left handers. Gets over his curveball well with nice spin and depth and lands the pitch for strikes when not trying to over throw it. Nice change up is thrown with conviction and arm speed. Very impressive young arm, would not want to face him on a smaller field. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a high hand load, has quick hands that are well timed, swings hard with good extension through contact, projects well as a hitter. 7.75 runner in the sixty. Played both outfield and infield on defense, looked more polished and comfortable with better footwork in the outfield, arm strength will play at both positions. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine Midwest Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
