Weston Sykes is a 2027 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Summerfield, NC who attends Wesleyan Christian Academy. Recorded a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a lean frame. Stayed light on feet in outfield, displaying athletic actions. Good bounce and efficient angles to balls. Quick arm and throws consistently accurate, recording throws up to 82 mph from the outfield. Also worked out in the infield and moved with intent. Presents glove early and showed same good arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter and starts from a wide base with open feet. Takes a direct and inside path to the ball. Showed quality bat speed and used a pull side approach during round. Power projects with continued added strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a leg lift to waist level. Compact operation and ran fastball up to 75 mph. Mixed in a short breaking ball to pait and threw plenty of strikes. Named to the 2023 13U/14U Nashville Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
