Luke Volpe is a 2026 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, IF, OF with a 5-11 162 lb. frame from Johns Creek, GA who attends Johns Creek. Tall, lean build with strength to project on. 7.50 runner in the sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle setup and replaces the feet well getting out of the crouch, natural receiver with some feel for the leather, compact arm action and gets it out quickly with accurate throws around the bag. Arm is solid as well, recorded throws up to 72 mph and a pop-time of 2.01. Right-handed hitter, high hands and a high back elbow in the stance, short swing with a flatter path through the zone, impacted to the opposite field exclusively. Needs to continue adding strength onto the frame to grow into some power. Secondary right-handed pitcher, stretch only delivery, belt high leg lift to balance, full arm circle in the back to a high three-quarters slot. Developing arm speed, fastball sat in the 68-72 mph range and mixed in a curveball with downer shape in the low-60s. Works with a quick tempo and pounds the zone. Also worked out in the infield, moves around with step by step actions, gets the glove down late, mid body exchange and a long arm swing to a higher release. Developing arm strength across the diamond, accurate throws were recorded up to 79 mph. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
