2022 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Jimmy Nichols is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Hazlet, NJ who attends Raritan. Nichols works from a younger projectable build with plenty of time to develop and fill out as a '25 prospect. From his primary OF spot, he displayed controlled footwork with in line mechanics to produce consistent accurate throws on the bag up to 76 mph. Arm strength will continue to improve as the righty matures. On the mound, Nichols used a belt high leg lift and maintained balance well over the rubber to pound the zone from a higher 3/4 slot. He generated weak contact with slight cut on the FB up to 74 mph. Offensively, he started from a wider even stance with intent to work the middle of the field flashing a line drive approach. Nichols displayed bat speed through the zone with some hover to the leg trigger. Ran a 7.75 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
