Nyon Cathey is a 2021 OF/ with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Irondale, AL who attends Shades Valley HS. Recorded a 6.81 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with quick twitch athleticism, long limbs, and room to fill out. Primary outfielder with balanced mechanics and fields cleanly out in front. Full arm stroke with a high release, throws recorded up to 78 mph into the infield, and good closing speed. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Linear swing path with a middle of the field approach. Late trigger at times but can generate line drive contact to all fields. Great student.
