Connor Capece is a 2023 C/RHP with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Gross Catholic. Strong and compact physical build, pretty mature physically. High level two-way prospect. Very good lower half flexibility and athleticism, explodes out of his crouch, very quick arm with high level carry, sets a good target and frames well. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a relaxed hand load, takes an aggressive swing with present bat speed, will get over aggressive at times and expand the zone. Has an athletic and fast paced delivery on the mound with a medium length arm action, pretty low effort delivery for what comes out. Fastball topped out at 91 mph, consistently worked it down in the zone to spots. Curveball was a nasty pitch, had power and tight spin with swing/miss quality. Also flashed a change up. High level national prospect. Good student. Named to the Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
