Will Crain is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Mercer Island, WA who attends Eastside Catholic. Long and lean build, slight in build, and space to fill as he matures. 7.53 60-yd. Flashed upside in the two-way profile with upside on the mound a bit higher. Worked from the stretch with leg lift going above the belt and showing average length down the hill. Fluid arm stroke sees the ball come out well with some extension over the front side. Attacked hitters with an advanced slider that was thrown hard seeing enough movement for barrels to miss and backing it up with an arm side running fastball that he used to both sides of the plate getting lots of strikes. As the frame strengthens there should be velocity jumps quickly. From the outfield the long arm allows him to whip through the slots after attacking the ball leading to accurate, firm throws. Showed good pace and athleticism suggesting more coming from the frame. Offensively starts tall and narrow utilizing a bigger hand load. Works into a closed front side seeing him rotate and throw the hands looking to lift to the pullside. Found some barrels, but like with other areas, strength will see the ball carry better as he matures. Will be one to follow in the near future. Named to the Northwest Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
