Nicholas Partida is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Manvel, TX who attends Pearland. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame with additional room to fill throughout. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, short steps with lateral range to either side, has the arm strength to remain on left side with nice carry and consistent accuracy, makes the plays and fields it cleanly. Also pitched, abbreviated windup with slight drop and drive lower half mechanics; controlled coming down the mound with a short arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Filled up the strike zone, fastball topped out at 87 mph with riding life through the zone and the ball got on hitters quickly; showed ability to miss bats up in the zone. Nice depth to curveball up to 73 mph with downer shape and mixed a tumbling changeup up to 78 mph with maintained arm speed and consistently threw it for strikes. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and hands in front of chest, simple and short stroke to the ball with nice length through the zone. Works to all parts of the field, maintains balance through weight shift, line drive approach and contact while repeating mechanics, can work the gaps, nice contact oriented approach with projectable strength moving forward. Very good student. Named to the Class of 2025 All-American Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
