Jackson Forbes is a 2024 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Mountain Ridge. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout; quick twitch muscle, posted a 6.68 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, easy and rangy defender in the dirt, shows comfort working to the backhand, consistent actions with the glove and shows softness to hands, sound fundamentals and repeats them well, nice carry on throws across the diamond. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set up and back elbow at the plate, subtle shift through lower half moving into contact. Remains compact in mechanics, shows bat speed through the zone with a quiet pre-pitch routine. Stays short through the zone with stroke. Very good student, committed to Arizona.
