Javy Ornelas is a 2027 2B/3B, MIF, OF with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Etiwanda. Features a smaller/compact frame. Ran a 7.87 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed a relaxed approach waiting back at times before starting his initial move, but gets his glove low and out front and fields it clean. His arm is shorter out the glove and to release at a lower ¾ slot producing higher arcing throws with avg. strength and that were accurate to the bag. In the INF, the actions look more refined. Glove gets down on time with some softness to the hands at reception and quality footwork that get him to his spots and working through the baseball. Similar arm action as well as the OF getting shorter in the back and to release at a lower ¾ slot. At the plate, he uses a unique trigger where he has a toe tap he syncs with an exaggerated barrel tip. As the barrel works back he sets a higher front elbow/shoulder which allows the bat to get more rearward and uphill through. Stays behind it well with balance throughout. Found quality barrels throughout his round flashing some strong/quick hands post-impact results to the middle of the field.
