2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Cody is a 2005 grad from Wilcox High School in Sunnyvale California. He stands 6'1" 210 lbs with a solid, muscular body. It's a good durable catcher's body that will handle a lot of innings behind the plate. Cody has sure hands and a nice, quiet set up that's a bit high. He shows confidence with his catching ability. Cody has a short, quick release on his throws that generates on line accuracy and pop times in the 2.12 area. At the plate, Cody has obvious strength for generating bat speed and showed good ability to make solid contact with some good power potential. We also appreciated Cody's high energy level and hustling style of play. Cody is an outstanding student off the field and will attract the attention of many college programs with his skills and makeup at a difficult position.
