Daniel Benally is a 2026 3B/1B/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Tustin, CA who attends Tustin. Features a lean build with strength and athleticism present. Ran a 7.72 60-yard dash. Primary infielder. Approaches the ball with quality rhythm. Caught the ball well when in sync. Developing consistent glove timing will allow for hands to work smoother. Displayed decent carry and accuracy on those using a short arm action. Used the same arm action from the outfield using a crow hop transfer. Occasionally would create armside run. Charged the ball hard throughout workouts. Maintains body control and catches the ball cleanly. Athleticism was there at both spots. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even stance with a wide base setup. Hanging leg lift timing mechanism transfers weight well onto the backside. Occasionally gets the foot down late. Timing is key to the swing. Displayed a slight uppercut bat path with quality bat speed. Bat path and quality extension after contact create natural loft within the swing. Showed good feel for the barrel with the ability to drive the ball in the air. Has a solid foundation in the box. Very good student.
