2023 PG Underclass All-American Games
Gavin Egan is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Yucaipa, CA who attends Aquinas. Medium, lean frame with a good amount of room to continue adding strength. Primary outfielder, showed good bounce to the actions, stays under control on the charge to the baseball, fields it with one hand on the side of the frame, medium arm swing in the back to a high three-quarters slot. Strong and accurate arm to the bag, recorded throws up to 87 mph. Right-handed hitter, medium and even base with a open front side, short and compact swing, was consistently on the barrel throughout the event, excellent bat speed and whip, shows good strength off the barrel with more coming as he adds strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works with a quick tempo, big side step into a belt high leg lift, compact arm circle in the back to a high three-quarters slot. Worked a quick inning, fastball sat in the 87-90 mph range with good life in the zone, showed a tight breaking slider with hard horizontal break in the upper-70s and also mixed in a changeup with fade, up to 75 mph (1544 RPM). Good student. Named to 2023 PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
