2022 13U/14U Spring Southwest Showcase
Xavier Escontrias is a 2026 MIF/RHP, OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Glendale, AZ. In the outfield his athleticism shows immediately securing balls cleanly and quickly transferring into strong accurate throws. At the plate, his approach is very simple with a small leg kick and above average bat speed. Uses the entire field well and has a solid feel for the barrel. On the mound, he delivers with a shorter arm action and compact delivery. He fills up the zone with a fastball ranging 72-74 mph with above average arm side run. He showed a developing breaking ball that came in at 54 mph but got outs with his fastball alone. He worked more comfortably out of the stretch finding good rhythm there throughout the outing.
