Gustin Barrido is a 2023 MIF/RHP, OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Lutz, FL who attends Berkeley Preparatory. Medium frame with slender, young build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.21 seconds. Hits from balanced set, shifts weight back into load, quick leg lift, downward inside-out path to barrel, consistent contact. Primary infielder, sits back and surrounds with hips, funnels clean out front, quick transfer with balance, clocked up to 77 mph across. Also took outfield reps, fields confidently and athletically, clocked up to 80 mph on throws. Pitched as well, works from stretch, long takeaway to 3/4 slot, fastball worked 72-76 mph with some life. Very good student.
