Benjamin Lee is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Amherst Junction, WI who attends Amherst. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and a projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step moving into delivery, deliberate tempo and stays online towards the plate while generating extension out front, some effort at release, long and loose arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, inconsistent with release point at times, shows good arm speed through the back and works around the zone well. Curveball shows 11-5 shape with depth and tight spin up to 68 mph and mixed a changeup at 71 mph. Clean funnel with the glove at first base, short steps moving towards the ball and moves well off the bag, shows arm strength and accuracy on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a tall and open stance, short shift through lower half and can incorporate more into swing. Linear swing path through the zone, gets the barrel through and swings with intent, has the ability to impact to his pull side when squared and on time with shift. Very good student.
