Jack Buening is a 2023 C/OF/UT with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Madison, AL who attends Sparkman. Medium frame with good present physicality and more room to fill out. Ran a 7.13 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up low in his stance and shows quick transfers, gets rid of it well while gaining ground and showed good accuracy on his throws. Also worked out in the outfield, comes at the ball well and fields it cleanly, releases from a clean and quick arm stroke and gets good carry on his throws clocked up to 82 mph. Righthanded hitter, sets up even and balanced, shows quick hands and swings hard, generates good bat speed and works behind the ball well, found the barrel consistently and showed an ability to leverage and drive the ball in the air hard to the pull side.
