Daxton Horton is a 2025 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Bentonville, AR who attends Bentonville. Strong built, power-oriented frame with dense muscularity and a durable look. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.55 seconds. Primary position 1B, working deliberately through his angles and reps. Emerging glove skills, securing the ball fine but will get more fluid with time. Feel for footwork around the bag and was on the money for the most part on throws up to 78 mph across the diamond. Reps in the OF too, working through the ball with active feet and showing some urgency to his timing. Works the glove one handed off to the side and uses smooth transfer to full arm path and 3/4 release on throws up to 74 mph here. LHH starting wide and balanced with a bigger hanging leg lift for timing. Carries hands in front of body to begin and gets them loaded before attacking the ball. Hands are strong at impact, mostly pull oriented approach and gets the barrel around the ball with whip. Consistently on the barrel and has a chance for big power numbers as he progresses. Tremendous student as well.
