2022 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Vaughn Rex is a 2024 OF/2B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Hallandale Beach, FL who attends University School Of Nova Southeastern University. Young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, has a well balanced stance with a back tap trigger, swing is loose and fluid with good extension through the ball, swings hard and maintains barrel control, mostly mid field contact, nice overall swing to grow into as he gets stronger. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, fields the ball off to the side, big crow hop into his throws, young fundamentals at present but is athletic to keep improving, developing arm strength. Also played some infield with similar actions and arm strength. Excellent student.
