Austin Knierim is a 2026 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Brooksville, FL who attends Hernando. Slender young athletic build with plenty of time and room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a deep high hand set, good lower half shift into contact, turns his hips hard and tight, creates present bat speed, swing is very in sync, barreled the ball up consistently with good jump off the barrel, really projects as a hitters as he gets stronger. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Has active feet in the middle infield and good first step quickness, agile athletic actions, good arm strength, primary second baseman but will have plenty of arm to play the left side in the future. Also pitched, works from an abbreviated wind up with a full arm swing in back, mid to low 3/4's arm slot. Worked in the mid-70's with his fastball with good spin and feel for his curveball. Excellent student. Named to the Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
