Ben Green is a 2024 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Central Academy of Techology and Arts. Strong,, well developed physical frame with good athleticism and twitch to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in an outstanding 6.89 seconds. Primary position IF, moving light on his feet and showing excellent first step quickness. Understands the position and displayed clean, smooth glove work. Compact arm action like you want in the clay and made accurate throws up to 86 mph across the diamond. Secondary RHP, using a full windup from the 1B side of the rubber. Chest high leg lift with a slight inward turn to load over the rubber. Hands separate at the chest into deep arm path, slightly offline into an over the top arm angle. Gets down the slope in his legs and turns hard in the core building excellent arm speed. Repeats his operation well, does tilt towards 1B in transition but lives in the zone. FB up to 85 mph with heavy boring action making it tough for hitters to get on plane. SL flashed late bite and two-plane tilt with solid spin, just wasn't his most consistent offering this day. RHH with a wider and slightly open stance and higher handset to start. Hand speed evident right away and the ball gets off his barrel in a hurry. Would get to the bottom of the ball but when in his base and on time he peppered hard line drives around the field. Swing played in live ABs as well, easily turning around a upper-80s heater back up the middle. Real two-way talent here and should be a huge summer for this prospect. Elite performer in the classroom as well.
