2020 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase
Wayne Karlstedt is a 2021 SS/MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Palatine, IL who attends St. Viator. Medium height and and athletic look to his frame. Ran a 6.88 in the sixty yard dash and the speed plays on the bases. A primary infielder, good body control using long strides to gain ground pretty well to both sides. There is some timing in the approach and he has quick hands during the exchange. He is confident and accurate with the throws. A right-handed hitter, balanced and slightly open stance with a small toe lift trigger. Short and compact stroke with linear movements and lots of feel for the barrel. Top of the order profile with present eye-hand coordination. Good student.
