Ryan Heinz is a 2024 C/3B, OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Shelton, CT who attends Shelton. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength proportioned throughout.Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, longer transfer, works on top of throws, can shorten up actions moving forward, gains ground with lower half, strides slightly open, shows carry on throws down to second base. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; longer stride moving into contact, gets mistimed in swing occasionally. Longer swing path through the zone but gets the barrel to the ball, can shorten length of stride, looks to lift at point of contact, repeats swing, gets to front side early at times.
