Julius Sanchez is a 2022 RHP/IF with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Lasalle, IL who attends La Salle-Peru Twp. Athletic look with good lower half strength, has trimmed down his body significantly in the last 6-8 months. Slow paced delivery, gets good torque from his strong lower half, compact arm action that hides the ball well, high 3/4's arm action. 4-seam fastball up to 92 mph with close to 2400 rpm, was up to 96 mph last fall. 2-seam fastball has nice fade and almost serves as a firm change up, works mostly arm side with his fastball. Hand position slider that he gets on top of well, flashes some bite and 2-plane tilt. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Illinois.
