Colby Decouta is a 2022 C/1B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from East Taunton, MA who attends Taunton. Medium frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.79 seconds. Hits from even, narrow-based stance, upright, toe tap trigger, barrels starts from wrapped position, hinges hip well, aggressive stride, brings barrel around on line drive swing plane, showed good contact ability, will drive the ball more as he gains physical strength. Worked out behind the plate, good athletic set, hands work through receiving, stands straight up to throw, fundamental footwork is solid, clocked up to 69 mph on throws with best pop time of 2.26 seconds. Very good student.
