Lawson Wooten is a 2024 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Dacula, GA who attends Bethlehem Christian Academy. Medium to Large frame with lean, athletic build. High waist with very projectable build showing room to fill down the road. Ran a 7.95 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher starting from a narrow stance with all weight upright. Receives the baseball and then stands strait up before throwing down from an upright release. Looks to throw one hops down to second with throws around the bag. Raw mechanics with a good build for the position. Recorded a 2.41 second pop time. Secondary Righthanded pitcher working into a side step with a shorter leg lift. Shorter stride while balanced before working downhill and online to his target. Compact arm action before delivering from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball showing flat looks while he stayed around the zone as he topped out at 74 MPH. Worked in an 11-to-5 curveball with depth that he landed for strikes. Righthanded hitter starting from an upright stance before showing an toe lift and stride. Little to no weight transfer as he threw hands at the baseball with a linear swing path. Strong hands with plus bat speed. Middle of the field approach. Outstanding Student.
