Braydon Kelman is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Leesburg, VA who attends Loudoun County. Recorded a 7.73 second sixty-yard dash time. Small frame with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Primary catcher, side-saddle stance, gains ground towards his target with quickness to his footwork and exhibits clean mid-line transfers. Recorded developing arm strength up to 68 mph in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch, uses a belt high leg lift to get into balance and a shorter stride out to foot strike. Pounds the strike zone effectively from a vertical three-quarters arm slot that flashes some natural arm-side run. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 75 mph in this look with fairly good command to both sides of the plate. Mixed in 10-4 shaped curveball that has shows both gradual sweep and depth when thrown with conviction. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with a high, tight hand set and hover trigger for timing. Aggressive approach with intent based lower half mechanics and an upward swing path. Pull-side approach with developing feel for the barrel and fairly consistent bat-to-ball skills. Will continue to improve with minor adjustments and additional physical maturity. Good Student.
