Hugo Isaiah Nava is a 2023 C/SS with a 5-6 157 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Thunderbird. Ran a 7.04 second sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a medium frame and athletic build. Starts from a slight side straddle stance behind the plate, striding forward well and gaining ground to second base. Replaces the feet well and makes throws with developing arm strength up to 68 miles per hour. Right-handed hitter with an exaggerated open stance, hanging load and beg leg lift to close. Has developing strength but shows the ability to make solid contact to the pull-side. Will develop more power as the frame continues to mature.
