Thayer Tavormina is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Summerville HS. Medium frame with good athleticism and lots of room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher who only pitched during the event. Over the head pump into delivery with a leg lift above the belt and a fluid operation. Online arm stroke with a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball showed good arm side run and topped out at 86 mph. Loose arm and projects to throw harder. Good feel for delivery and has a present out pitch in the slider. Slider mimics the fastball tunnel and has good sweeping action down and to the glove side. Very good against right-handed hitters and already firm in the upper-70s. Tremendous student.
