Ethan Mallett is a 2024 OF/3B with a 6-1 198 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Features a physically mature build with noticeable strength and athleticism. Ran a 6.54 60-yd dash. In the OF, there’s some slight shuffle/stutter into reception but fields it clean and out front while creating momentum through. Showed a longer arm action where he gets uphill with his shoulders and pulls down hard getting up to 95mph with accuracy. At the plate, he sets up in a wider base where he uses a leg lift gather that gets him engaged with his backside while landing balanced into footstrike. He maintains a flat barrel at launch and his strong hands throw a fast/direct barrel through with present bat speed. Impact was consistently out front throughout his round barreling several deep into left-center flashing some pullside juice. Verbal Meridian CC commit.
