Joshua Gunther is a 2023 RHP/1B, 2B, 3B with a 6-0 192 lb. frame from Fairhope, AL who attends Bayside Academy. Recorded a 7.42 second 60-yard dash time. Strong build with some well-proportioned physicality throughout. Primary right-handed pitcher who throws exclusively from the stretch. Full arm stroke through the back with a leg lift up to the belt. Short and tight slider with good bite to it. Quality arm speed and projects to throw harder. Depth on the curveball with 11/5 shape. Can work the fastball in on the hands of both hitters and has steady life to the fastball; also flashed a changeup. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the infield. Right-handed hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a leg lift trigger. Ball carries out in front and has good strength. Power oriented approach and showed the ability to go out to the pull side. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
