Will Swanner is a 2010 C/OF with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Cardiff, CA who attends La Costa Canyon HS. Lean athletic build, good frame to fill into. Excellent athlete ran a 6.86. Showed good arm strength behind the plate, keeps feet under the body, good body control, received velocity well. Hits from a slight crouch, good use of strong lower half in swing, generates power, has ability to lift the ball and drive deep, balanced swing, runs well on bases. Also pitched, FB to 88 mph, good 2-seam FB with sink at 82 mph, feel for changing speeds, long arm stroke, didn't show breaking ball in short appearance. He was good in the Metrodome and should create some serious scout attention. Very good student, verbal to Pepperdine.
