Jacob Espinoza is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Hamilton. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.22 seconds. Primary pitcher, works from the stretch, methodical pace to leg lift, long offline arm stroke with rigid wrap, crossbody release from 3/4 slot, fastball worked 74-80 mph with some heaviness to the action, showed slider with slurvy break, flashes sharpness, good strikes. Hits from spread stance with high hands and back elbow, wraps barrel and gets steep on entry, varied trigger, pull-side approach, relatively short swing. Worked out at trio of defensive positions, graded out best at 1st base, threw best from the OF up to 79 mph. Very good student.
