Jathan DeHaven is a 2027 SS/2B/OF with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from St Augustine, FL who attends Tocoi Creek High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, light and bouncy footwork in the dirt, clean actions to the backhand, plays the position well and with intent, solid arm strength and carry on throws across the diamond. Similar athleticism on actions in the outfield, plays the ball well and gets it out of glove quickly, online and accurate throws, repeats actions. Right-handed hitter, utilizes a big leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Gets front foot down on time and does a nice job of generating leverage through the zone while producing solid present bat speed. Swings it with intent and looks to impact the ball at point of contact. Named to the 13u/14u Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
